As well as partnering with Tunstall Healthcare Group, Tunstall Healthcare UK and Ireland have joined the Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Friends programme, an initiative which aims to transform the way the UK thinks, acts and talks about the disease.

Tunstall staff have taken training courses to learn more about dementia, the impact it can have and how to appropriately approach and help people with dementia. Currently, 32 employees have completed the training, with the aim that by the end of 2022, all Tunstall UK colleagues will have completed the training.

Tunstall Healthcare also supports Dementia UK, a charity that provides Admiral Nurses to families affected by dementia. The nurses provide personal support, expert guidance and practical solutions to people in need. Tunstall has coordinated a number of fundraising initiatives and to date has raised and donated over £3,700 to the charity.
