The Entrepreneurship Academy named best educational program by La French Tech


EA – The Entrepreneurship Academy was recognized on Tuesday September 12th at an event organized at the headquarters of the French Embassy in Romania in Bucharest. The event, dedicated to start-ups, is themed French technology – Romanian touchwas organized by La French Tech, a French ecosystem dedicated to supporting new businesses.

EA – The Entrepreneurship Academy received the award for the best educational program from La French Tech at the event, which was attended by over 600 people and where 9 Romanian startups and their founders received awards.

The award is a recognition of the entrepreneurial ecosystem for the students’ achievement in creating companies in Romania and the surrounding region. The course, accredited in the Netherlands, applies a philosophy developed in Finland and adapted to the European higher education environment by the partners of Team Academy Netherlands. The basic principles of the educational model are based on teamwork and learning, application of theory in real scenarios, autonomy and interdependence.

We see this award as international recognition of our efforts to create an innovative educational program in Romania at the highest global level, whose students and graduates have already founded their own start-ups. Furthermore, the award is not just for us: the quality of an educational program is best demonstrated by the performance of our students, and in that respect we are truly winners. In the final year of university, our students made over EUR 1.5 million in sales from companies they founded in their freshman year, and our graduates founded some of the most innovative companies in Romania.”

In the new academic year, EA – The Entrepreneurship Academy will have 38 new students, 30% of them girls and 70% boys. Unlike at regular universities, those interested in studying Business and Entrepreneurship at EA do not go through any exams, but rather an interactive admission process: online application with CV, two essays and a video, One Day at University called Solving a Real Business Challenge boot dayand a final interview.

In order to prove their entrepreneurial spirit, young people can apply as early as the 11th grade and pay their tuition fees with the help of scholarships, student finance and faculty subsidies. EA – The Entrepreneurship Academy awards scholarships of 500,000 euros annually.
