Nozomi Networks and WALLIX strengthen OT network security

Nozomi Networks, the OT and IoT security specialist, and WALLIX, a cybersecurity software publisher and expert in identity and access security solutions, have announced a new partnership to bring greater security and visibility to OT networks.

Secure and traceable remote access combined with threat detection, analysis and assessment in industrial environments provides a unique forensic analysis experience in the event of a compromise, the company says. OT cybersecurity requires visibility into network-wide operations and components. However, with a Zero Trust approach, there is also a need to secure third-party identities and access within the production environment.

The combination of WALLIX and Nozomi Networks solutions provides end-to-end visibility and traceability for maximum security in an industrial environment.

Through the integration, Nozomi Networks provide WALLIX with the ability to collect, sort, and update OT assets, allowing for a simplified build-and-run step for administrators.

WALLIX offers a centralized and secured remote access platform. It simplifies the management and tracking of third-party activities on these assets, as well as the analysis or detection of suspicious user behavior by exploiting vulnerabilities.

Recognized as a leader in OT and IoT security, Nozomi Networks is valued for its superior operational visibility, advanced OT and IoT threat detection, and strength in all deployments.

Nozomi Networks solutions support more than 74 million devices in thousands of installations in energy, manufacturing, mining, transportation, utilities, building automation, smart cities, and critical infrastructure.

Deployable on-premises and in the cloud, Nozomi Networks products span IT, OT and IoT to automate the hard work of inventorying, visualizing and monitoring industrial control networks through the innovative use of artificial intelligence. Use cases go beyond cybersecurity and include troubleshooting, asset management, and predictive maintenance.

For WALLIX, cyber security must be at the heart of the digital transformation of companies, especially industrial companies that belong to a particularly critical sector. The industrial sector, as it goes digital, faces potential cyber threats that can lead to a partial or total paralysis of activities. The challenge now is to protect all access – whether human or machine – to the IT infrastructures of industrial companies.

To address this challenge, WALLIX WALLIX developed PAM4ALL, a unified solution that goes beyond protecting privileged accounts by using the principle of least privilege to secure all vulnerable users and workstations in an organization for all areas of activity.

Phillip Page, Director of Business Development and Partner Technologies at Nozomi Networks, says: “We are very excited to partner with WALLIX to increase visibility of key third-party journeys and provide them with industry-leading OT and IoT security solutions to support customers.

“Undoubtedly, full visibility into your assets along with their activities is paramount for early threat detection and vulnerability management to mitigate threats before they disrupt operations.”

Yoann Delomier, WALLIX OT Team Lead, says: “Partnering with Nozomi Networks to offer a Zero Trust approach and full visibility into the entire OT third-party journey seemed like an obvious choice. The correlation of traceability and visibility data from our two platforms provides unparalleled analytics and detection performance.”
